Ingersoll Rand 22282024 OEM Thermal Control Valve For Small UP6 Old Series
The thermal valve sits on the inside of the thermostatic valve block manifold connected to the bottom of the cooler. This valve opens when the oil gets hot to let the compressor oil flow through the cooler/radiator before the lubricant is sent back into the sump tank.
This is one of the most common wear items that should be changed every year depending on your compressor run hours. If your compressor keeps shutting off before reaching the cutoff pressure, there is a good chance the compressor is overheating because the thermal valve is not opening to let the oil flow through the cooler.
The 22463368 thermal valve was used on the below Ingersoll Rand UP6 series compressors (with and without integrated dryers) manufactured BEFORE 2008 – If you are not positive whether this is correct for your compressor, please contact our parts department and we can verify.
- UP6-5
- UP6-7.5
- UP6-10
- UP6-15C
