We made some changes to protect you, others and ourselves. As of early October we no longer support SSL 3.0, an outdated and now insecure security protocol. This change affects the use of older web browsers on our websites, primarily Internet Explorer 6.0 (Windows XP and older), which will no longer be able to establish a secure connection to our websites. Please use a modern operating system and an up-to-date web browser. You should also disable SSL 3.0 and older protocols in all your web browsers!
We also no longer support weak hash algorithms, namely SHA-1. This affects many older browser versions as well including, Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer, Netscape, Opera and Safari. You will need a modern, up-to-date web browser to establish a secure connection to our websites. See SHA-2 Compatibility list.
In a nutshell, protect yourself and others by using a latest version web browser and disabling SSL 3! These changes affect many devices including desktop and mobile.

Portland Compressor strives to use reasonable commercially available electronic and physical products as well as procedures to protect your personal information while in our control.
Portland Compressor is committed to making Internet shopping safe.
We use SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encryption to make transmission of personal information over the Internet as safe as possible. To make our customers as comfortable as possible we chose an Extended Validation (EV) SSL certificate. This type of SSL certificate provides " Green Bar Assurance " - the browser (current versions) address bar turns green when visiting a site with an EV certificate, confirming that the site has passed comprehensive identity verification. We also use the SHA-2 hash algorithm for stronger security.
We do not retain complete credit card information for future use. Our online store communicates directly with the card processor via SSL, after the transaction is accepted or denied only the last 4 digits of the credit card number and expiration is stored. Not storing all your card info protects us and protects you. Because of this you will need to enter that information on each transaction. Not much work for greater peace of mind. Those 4 numbers and expiration are retained in our store for about 90 days, in compliance with PCI standards, after which it is deleted.
PayPal transactions are done directly through PayPal. No credit card or bank account information is entered into or retained by our web store.
We do not retain complete credit card information for future use. After the transaction is accepted or denied only the last 4 digits of the credit card number and expiration are stored.
We do not retain complete credit card information for future use. We retain the card information until the transaction has been completed. The physical data is then destroyed, normally within 3 business days or less. After the transaction is accepted or denied only the last 4 digits of the credit card number and expiration are stored.
Though we strive to make your personal information as secure as reasonably possible you should be aware that it is impossible to guarantee absolute security with respect to information sent through the Internet.
