Returns

Return Policy: Updated 8/8/2023
 
No returns will be accepted without prior authorization. Please call our toll free number and speak with a customer service representative to obtain return authorization and shipping instructions. Once the part has been received, inspected and approved, we will credit you in the same manner as your original payment. Please allow 2-3 business days for your return to be processed after being received.
 
Items must be shipped back to Portland Compressor in new, undamaged and sellable condition to qualify for a refund. Customer is responsible for return shipping costs. Returns for in stock products are subject to a minimum 15% restock fee, however this fee may increase depending on the condition of the item once it has been returned. Please note that not all items are eligible for returns and no returns will be accepted after 30 days from the invoice date.
 
Installed Items: 

We are unable to accept returns on items that have been installed. Unfortunately any damage due to improper installation is the responsibility of you or your installer. We do inspect each item upon return. If we receive an item and deem that it has been installed no return or refund will be accepted. We will ship the item back to you, however it is your responsibility to cover the shipping costs. Otherwise the item will be discarded and no refund will be given. 

Electrical Parts:
We are unable to accept returns on any electrical parts. This includes (but is not limited to) control boards, pressure switches, motor starters, digital displays, etc... We highly recommend contacting Portland Compressor prior to purchasing electrical items to ensure they are correct for your application. 

Special Order Items:
Special order items that have been tailored to your equipment are not returnable. This includes products such as custom hoses or stock equipment that has been altered for your system. 

Ships from Manufacturer Items:
Many products are labeled "Ships from Manufacturer". These are typically non-stock products that are shipped to you from the factory. Prior to issuing a return authorization, we must first receive approval from the manufacturer. If they approve the return, you will be responsible for the return shipping costs. Please note that return fees may vary and manufacturers charge a 15-25% restocking fee. Many of these items are ineligible for a return. We highly recommend contacting Portland Compressor prior to purchasing these items to ensure they are correct for your application. 

Orders Cancelled after Shipping:
We are unable to cancel orders after they have been shipped. If the items have already shipped, you must obtain return authorization once you receive your order. If a shipment is refused and not associated with freight damage, the customer will be responsible for outbound shipping charges, return shipping charges, and additional redirect fees that may incurred. A minimum 15% restock fee will be charged for in-stock items in addition to shipping charges. If an order is refused and the parts are non-stock or marked as Ship From Manufacturer, no return will be accepted and no credit will be issued if a return authorization is not provided from the manufacturer.
