Ingersoll Rand Throttle Slowdown for Kohler Engine Driven Compressors - 54398144
The 54398144 throttle slowdown is used for Kohler engines on Ingersoll Rand air compressors. This will not fit the Kawasaki engine.
The throttle slowdown is used to reduce the engine speed on gas driven air compressors. A properly installed throttle slowdown will reduce fuel consumption and compressor wear when the upper pressure cut-out setpoint is reached. There is an 1/8” NPT fitting that will connect directly to the center pilot/unloader valve located between the engine and the motor. The opposite end of the cable will attach directly to the Kohler engine's throttle valve. The throttle slowdown valve will expand and contract when the upper/lower pressure setpoints are reached which will cause the Honda engine to speed up or slow down accordingly.
