The Ingersoll Rand 47690449001 temperature sensor is installed into the side of the airend. This senses the temperature of the air as it leaves the compression process and shuts down the compressor if the temperature is too high. 47690449001 was used on the Ingersoll Rand R4-11i series of rotary screw compressors that use that XE-50 controller.

The previous part number for this item was 24255838. 24255838 has superseded to item 47690449001 which includes the temp sensor probe and o-ring seal.
