Replacement auto drain assembly for the older style of Ingersoll Rand red light series inline series filters. These are also known as the Legacy filters. This drain was used on their smaller general purpose GP and high efficiency HE coalescing filters. You will know this drain fits your IR filter if you have a red light on the top of your housing.

This drain connects to the filter assembly via a ½” threads on this drain and the bottom housing. There is a ¼” threaded port on the bottom of the drain that can be used to connect a drain hose or tube to route the water to an oil water separator.

An internal screen is built in to prevent dust or debris from clogging this drain. The internal float rises as the moisture builds up to drain out the water from the filter automatically. Ingersoll Rand recommends cleaning this drain assembly whenever you change the internal element.
