The OEM 2901323008 ring kit is used on the low pressure side of the T39 piston air compressor pump. This pump was commonly used by Chicago Pneumatic, Belair, NAPA, and a wide variety of other brands.

The LP ring kit 2901323008 includes rings for the low pressure side only. 3 rings are included. The low pressure ring kit is used on the larger of the two pistons. Typically this is the piston that is further away from the flywheel (the smaller compressor piston is called the high pressure piston and uses different rings).

Typically a ring kit would be needed if your compressor is slow to build air or is passing a significant amount of oil downstream.
