The OEM 2901323007 ring kit is used on the high pressure side of the T39 piston air compressor pump. This pump was commonly used by Chicago Pneumatic, Belair, NAPA, and a wide variety of other brands.

The HP ring kit 2901323007 includes rings for the high pressure side only. 3 rings are included. The high pressure ring kit is used on the smaller of the two pistons. Typically this is the piston that is closest to the flywheel (the larger compressor piston is called the low pressure piston and uses different rings).

Typically a ring kit would be needed if your compressor is slow to build air or is passing a significant amount of oil downstream.
