WEG ESW-B18V24E-R32 is a magnetic motor starter used with 5hp air compressors running on 230v three phase power. This motor starter includes a built in 18 amp contactor and overload relay.

The overload is adjustable between 11 and 17 amps depending on your full load amps and voltage when the compressor is running.

The incoming power from your electrical panel is connected to the top of the contactor. The contactor coil pulls in when the compressor needs to operate and provides the necessary power to the motor. In case of an overcurrent, the included overload relay will shut down the compressor to prevent damage to your equipment or building.

An air compressor motor starter provides overload protection for the main drive motor. Starters are required on any three phase application or for motors without built in thermal overload protection.

Note: This starter does not include an on/off switch.
