The connecting rod attached to the crankshaft and compressor pump piston. When the crankshaft spins, it moves the rod up and down, therefore moving the pistons and creating pressurized air. Lubrication dippers are integral to the connectic rod and are not able to come loose, this ensures proper oil delivery and lubrication on each stroke.
