The Ingersoll Rand RSa15i-TAS is a 20hp industrial grade rotary screw air compressor. This is the next generation series of rotary screw compressors from Ingersoll Rand. The “TAS” model is a Total Air System compressor that includes an integrated refrigerated dryer, moisture separator and oil removal coalescing filter. The fully packaged contact cooled, rotary screw air compressor is designed for total convenience, it is easy to install, simple to operate and will deliver compressed air with reliable efficiency.

CFM and flow rates on the RSa15i Ingersoll Rand compressor will vary depending on the pressure setpoint selected. The RSa15i 20hp compressor is rated to produce:

• 87.1 cfm @ 100psi
• 81 cfm @ 115psi
• 75 cfm @ 135psi

The RSa series is the newer version of their RS series compressors. The RSa11-22 compressors provide the same world-class performance with increased ease of use, improved serviceability and increased controls functionality. The new XS controller is now touch screen, providing additional safety features, graphics and a user-friendly interface. The redesigned footprint fits through a standard door due to an optimized drive train. Components are easy to access and change, reducing complexity and preventing downtime.

The refrigerant air dryer removes water from the air lines. The condensate is removed by an automatic solenoid drain from a manifold in parallel with other drain points. In addition to the dryer, a water separator is included to remove excess liquid prior to the dryer. A coalescing air filter is standard within the Total Air System which removes oil to 1ppm. The TAS package occupies less space, costs less to install, and delivers high quality compressed air to maximize operating efficiency and reduce costs.

IR’s rotary screw uses a rugged and reliable airend is contact cooled/oil injected with a highly efficient asymmetrical profile rotor. The compressor provides removable service panels for quick, easy access to all user-maintainable components. The superior oil separation allows for cleaner air being sent downstream with less pressure drop across air treatment, leading to a more energy efficient and clean compressed air system. The airend is paired with a IE3 premium energy-efficient motor to support continuous operation in harsh environments. The RSa18i fixed speed 25hp compressor is designed to handle 24/7/365 operation.

This specific air compressor is IR’s Total Air System (TAS) model, which provides clean/dry air in a single package. This unique compressor package comprises a fully integrated rotary screw compressor with a high efficiency, cycling, air dryer, general purpose and high efficiency air filters.

This compressor comes standard in a base mount configuration without an air receiver/storage tank. A baseplate compressor is to be plumbed into a separate air receiver already installed at the plant. You can also have this unit pre-installed and plumbed on a 120 or 240 gallon air receiver tank.

XE-110 Microprocessor Controller:

The new RSa series from Ingersoll Rand is monitored, controlled and protected by an intuitive XS-110 Series controller. The touch graphic display with backlight is simple to read and makes navigation simple. The controller will log events such as warnings and trips while also providing service reminders. 

The controller also has several features which make operating the compressor easier and more efficient.
