Ingersoll Rand OEM 22089551 Oil Separator Element for 50-60 HP Rotary Screw Rotary Screw Air Compressors

The 22089551 separator element was widely used on several Ingersoll Rand EP and EPE rotary screw air compressors manufactured in the late 1990's until around 2007. The most common model numbers were XFE50, EPE50, HPE50 and XF60, EP60, HP60.

The previous part numbers for this separator element are 42546259 and 39895610 which were often displayed in the part manuals. If your part manual states to use filter number 42546259 or 39895610, then purchasing this 22089551 separator is correct for your machine. 22089551 is a direct cross over and no retrofit kit is required.

This Ingersoll Rand separator element should be changed every 4,000 hours or once per year, whichever occurs first. The separator filter removes oil from the airstream before the air is sent into the air cooler. Proactively changing the separator element will reduce the pressure drop across the sump tank, increasing your energy efficiency and preventing oil from getting into your production equipment.

When changing the separator element, it is also recommended to change the compressor oil, oil filter, and air filter element. The most common air filter tied to these machines was 39708466 and the most common oil filter was 39911615
