Ingersoll Rand OEM Oil Filter Element for U-Series Rotary Screw Compressors – 39460456

39460456 is an oil filter element that was used on many of the Ingersoll Rand “U-Series” rotary screw compressors. These compressors were manufactured in the 1980’s and early 1990’s.

Several of the U-series compressors also used the 39446489 coolant filter which now supersedes to 39329602. If you are not 100% sure which oil filter is correct for your IR rotary compressor, please give our parts department a call.

The oil filter removes particles and debris from the compressor oil before being sent back into the compression process. Changing the oil filter element will prolong the life of your compressor by ensuring clean oil is sent to the airend and oil cooler. Depending on the age of your compressor this filter should be replaced at a minimum of once per year or every 2,000 hours.
