This Ingersoll Rand 2475N5 premium packaged reciprocating air compressor is an ideal choice for applications that demand a reliable air supply for everyday use, but where running an air compressor ranks a distant second to running your business. This compressor operates on either 208v or 230v three phase power. This is a great option for automotive shops, construction, fabrication, processing lines and more. The 2475N5 premium package model is one of IR's most popular piston air compressors on the market. Each 2475N5 3 phase compressor includes a pre-mounted and installed magnetic motor starter for overload protection and is mounted an on 80 gallon air receiver. The V-block design improves cooling around the cylinders for longer life and lower operating temperatures.

The reciprocating pump used on this compressor is designed to be paired with either a 5hp or 7.5hp motor. Since the 2475N5-P is a 5hp compressor, the pump turns much slower. This results in a lower noise level compared to similar compressors on the market. Since the pump RPM is lowered, less heat is generated resulting in a longer life pump and reduced moisture downstream.

A E-series magnetic motor starter is included and pre-wired to the pressure switch and motor. Starters provide full voltage control of electric motors. They include thermal relays which protect the motor windings from harmful currents and resultant temperature rise caused by overloaded motor, low line voltage or stalled rotor. An on/off switch is also included.

This 2475 Ingersoll Rand reciprocating air compressor is their premium packaged version. Sometimes this model is displayed in their literature as 2475N5 PKG or 2475N5-P. IR's premium package 2475 compressors include:

• Air cooled aftercooler pre-installed on the back of the beltguard. This cools the air to within 25 degrees of ambient temperature prior to entering the receiver tank. This reduces the moisture and water content of the compressed air by about 70%.
• An automatic timed electronic tank drain is installed on the bottom of the air receiver. The drain removes any water from the receiver tank automatically, no longer requiring you to stick your hand under the tank daily to remove moisture.
• A low oil level shutdown switch installed on the face of the pump. This send a signal to turn off the motor if oil runs low in the pump, preventing the pump from seizing up.
