The Ingersoll Rand 22517866 separator element was most commonly used on the EP7.5, EP10 and EP15 rotary screw compressors manufactured by Ingersoll Rand in the early 2000's. Note that it will not work with models that have an “SE” on the end of the model number.

The old part number for this filter is 39912969. If your parts breakdown states to use separator filter # 39912969, then purchasing this 22517866filter is correct.

Ingersoll Rand recommends replacing the separator element every 4,000 run hours or once per year, whichever occurs first. The filter should also be changed anytime an oil change is performed. This removes oil from the airstream before the air is sent downstream. Proactively changing the separator element will reduce the pressure drop across the sump tank, increasing your energy efficiency and preventing oil from getting into your air dryer or production equipment.

This is an OEM part manufactured by Ingersoll Rand. Many filters sold online are aftermarket filters and not rated to the same specifications as OEM. Using aftermarket filters can result in excess oil being sent downstream into your production equipment.

When changing the separator element, it is also recommended to change the air filter and oil filter as well

Note - many separators were used on the below models depending on when they were made. 2251775 was another popular separator for these models. We highly recommend calling in with a model/serial number to confirm this part is correct for your compressor.
