The Chicago Pneumatic "SpiralAir" SPR8-116 is a 7.5hp oil free scroll air compressor designed to run at a maximum pressure of 116psi. This model will displace 20.8cfm @ 116psi and runs on three phase power. With an extremely low noise level of 59dBA, the SpiralAir compressors will be able to sit anywhere in your facility without causing distractions. The SPR8 includes a sound reducing enclosure with dust protection enclosure. This allows for the compressed air system to run at one of the quietest noise levels on the market. The low noise allow installation at the point of use while the small footprint maximizes floor space. Since the SPR8 is a basemount compressor, it is designed to be tied into a separate air receiver.

The Chicago Pneumatic SpiralAir SPR8 enclosed scroll air compressor is designed to provide clean and dry air for industrial applications where the quality of the compressed air is critical. Air compression is achieved by the interaction of a fixed and orbiting scroll. Air at inlet pressure enters the compression chamber at the exterior side of the scroll element. Once air is drawn in, the orbiting scroll seals off the inlet port. As the scroll continues to orbit, the air is progressively compressed into an increasingly smaller ‘pocket’. A continuous flow of compressed air leaves the scroll element through a discharge port in the center of the fixed scroll. This process is continuously repeated, resulting in the delivery of pulse-free compressed air.
