This is used on 7.5HP piston air compressors running on 230/1/60. The previous part number for this motor starter is 1312100662 which now supersedes to 1312101282.

This is manufactured by Eaton / Cutler Hammer. The 1312101282 is specifically used on 7.5hp air compressors that are running on 208/1/60hz power or 230/1/60hz power. The overload is adjustable between 24 and 40amps. This was specifically paired with several Chicago Pneumatic and Quincy air compressors, as well as piston compressors from NAPA, BelAir, and Atlas Copco.

Single phase motor starters provide overload protection to electric compressor motors.
