The separator filter removes oil from the airstream before the air is sent downstream. Changing the separator element on an annual basis will increase your energy efficiency by reducing the pressure drop across the oil tank. This separator prevents oil from getting into your downstream production equipment. 

This oil separator filter kit was most commonly used on certain versions of the Atlas Copco GA45 rotary screw air compressors.
