The Chicago Pneumatic 2202 7298 01 solenoid valve is a load/unload solenoid. This valve sends the signal to the inlet valve to either open or close depending on the compressors operation. This is powered by a 24v signal off the transformer in the electrical cabinet of the compressor. This solenoid often is attached to the inlet valve on the backside.
