The Ingersoll Rand R5.5i is a 7.5hp single phase rotary screw air compressor that runs on 230v 1ph. A dust protection and sound dampening cabinet surrounds the quiet compressor. The enclosure also keeps internal components clean by protecting the system from ambient dust and debris.

The fixed speed R5.5i 7.5 hp air compressor operates in load/unload mode. This operation is much more energy efficient than modulation controls used by other rotary screw air compressor manufacturers.

Ingersoll Rand designed the speed, torque and operating characteristics to perfectly match the load of the compressor. IR also optimized the motor efficiency and power factor for the R5.5i 7.5hp compressor. The compressor utilizes IP55 two pole motors, meeting or exceeding local efficiency rating requirements for TEFC motors.

The XE-50 controller manages this Ingersoll Rand 7.5 hp rotary screw air compressor. The XE-50 provides all information an operator would require at his fingertips. The controller includes service warnings, alarms, display pressure, run hours and more. Unlike some compressed air vendors, access to the controller information does not require an RFID card.

New to the R-series compressor is Ingersoll Rand’s V-ShieldTM technology. V-Shield utilizes premium PTFE hoses on all oil-carrying lines as well as o0ring face seal connections. This design virtually eliminates all oil leaks and increases the hose life.

The Ingersoll Rand 7.5 hp rotary screw air compressor is a self-contained package with all piping, wiring and accessories. The ASME certified receiver has a mounted safety valve pre-installed. The R5.5i rotary screw compressor is factory tested and shipped complete, ready for installation.

This 7.5 horsepower compressor is pre-wired based on your buildings power upon ordering. This compressor is mounted on an 80 or 120 gallon air receiver .
