The 38008587 separator element was used on the IRN75 and IRN100 VSD rotary screw air compressors manufactured by Ingersoll Rand. Sometimes these models are displayed as IRN75H-CC or IRN100H-CC

38008587 is a drop in style air oil separator that sits inside of the sump tank. Two o-rings are included with this item. One o-ring sits under the separator lip and seales between the element and the sump tank. The second o-ring sits on top of the separator and seals between the filter and the sump lid.

This Ingersoll Rand separator element should be changed every 4,000 hours or once per year, whichever occurs first. The separator filter removes oil from the airstream before the air is sent into the air cooler. Proactively changing the separator element will reduce the pressure drop across the sump tank, increasing your energy efficiency and preventing oil from getting into your production equipment.

When changing the separator element, it is also recommended to change the compressor oil, oil filter, and air filter element. The most common air filter tied to these machines was 54672530 and the most common oil filter was 54672654 (many machines need two oil filters)
