Ingersoll Rand OEM 23708423 Oil Separator Element for R55-75i, R55-75n and RS45-75i Air Compressors

The 23708423 separator element was used on several versions of the Ingersoll Rand R and RS series rotary screw air compressors. 23708423 is a drop in style air oil separator that sits inside of the sump tank.

This Ingersoll Rand separator element should be changed every 8,000 hours or once per year, whichever occurs first. The separator filter removes oil from the airstream before the air is sent into the air cooler. Proactively changing the separator element will reduce the pressure drop across the sump tank, increasing your energy efficiency and preventing oil from getting into your production equipment. When changing this separator element you should also clean the sealing surface on both the tank and its cover. Check the tank to be absolutely certain that no foreign objects such as rags or tools have been allowed to fall into the tank. Lubricate a thin layer of coolant on the separator seal top and bottom before installing a replacement element down into the tank

When changing the separator element, it is also recommended to change the compressor oil, oil filter, and air filter element.

This is an OEM separator element made by Ingersoll Rand. Please note that most aftermarket/non-OEM separator elements sold online are not rated to the same filtration efficiency and will add oil vapors into the airstream.

This separator element is designed to fit the following Ingersoll Rand compressors. There were many different versions of these air compressors and some models we're only one digit or letter different.
