54689773 is an OEM high dust air filter element used on several medium sized Ingersoll Rand rotary screw air compressors. This filter was most commonly associated with the IRN50 and IRN60 variable speed rotary screw compressors. Note this filter requires the high dust filter housing.

This IR air filter element should be changed every 2,000 hours. It is recommended to change the filter more often If your compressor is located in a dirty environment with lots of dust. Changing the air filter will prolong the life of your compressor by protecting the critical parts on the inside of the compressor. Proactively changing the air filter will also increase your energy efficiency by not restricting the inlet airflow going into the air compressor.

When changing the air cleaner element, it is also recommended to replace your coolant oil filter. 54672654 was the most common oil filter associated with the IRN50 and IRN60 rotary compressors. It is also recommended to replace your oil 38008579 separator element each year.
