The 22053722 Ingersoll Rand pre-filter is used on a wide variety of IR rotary screw air compressors. The most common models are the RS15i,, RS18i and RS22i. Panel filters were used for both the Total Air System models with integrated dryer and the non-dryer version.

A rotary screw compressor pre-filter is used to filter the air prior to entering the compressor cabinet. This not only will help increase the cleanliness of the air compressor but it will lengthen the life of the air filter as well. Since the incoming air is now dual filtered, there is less of a chance that dust particles will be sent inside of the compression chamber, increasing the overall life of the compressor.

When changing the prefilter, it is also recommended to replace your air filter and oil filter. 47593353001 was the most common air filter and 24900433 was the most common oil filter for these machines.
