12" x 12" EVA Vibration Isolator Pads for Air Compressors and Industrial Machinery, EVA12X12
The EVA12X12 are 12" x 12" EVA series vibration isolation pads designed to work with any type of machinery which shakes or vibrates. Although most commonly used with commercial and industrial air compressors, EVA vibration pads can be used with any type of industrial machinery.
EVA Series pads (extreme vibration attenuation) is the newest design of vibration pads. The EVA pad utilizes polymeric foam core material laminated between high grade industrial rubber with 90 degree rib rotation of the top and bottom layers. The ribbed design profile helps reduce noise and provides a firm grip to the surface to minimize vibration. The polymeric foam core is more structurally sound and absorbs vibration better than cork, providing better noise reduction. The vibration pads create a damping effect and their primary purpose is to prevent machinery from walking or creeping. Vibration resistant padding is intended to protect machinery from long-term damage and maintain it’s structural integrity through continuous operation over a period of several years.
Sizing information:
- Size each pad for no more than 50 pounds per square inch of machine weight (most machinery is designed with approximately 50lbs per square inch base loading
- The isolator pads should be sized for each machine foot, allowing 1/2" overlap all around
- 25 pounds per square inch max base loading is recommended for impact machines (ex, punch presses or drop hammers)
- A double thickness of a pad may be used for additional load support if needed
Sizing example: EVA12X12 12" vibration pads can handle 50 pounds per square inch of machine weight. As an example with a 10000 pound compressor with four legs/mounting slots:
- The load rating at 50 pounds per square inch would be 10000/50 = 200lbs per square inch.
- Each 12"x12" vibration pad would provide 144 square inches.
- Using 4 pads for this machine would be rated to 576lbs per square inch, which exceeds the 200lb per square inch the 10000lb compressor would require .
Air compressor anti vibration pads should be sized to allow at least 1/2" overlap all around to ensure proper loading.
