Sublime Descaler is an industrial grade water descaler designed to penetrate and remove encrusted lime scale, rust, corrosion products and dirt from water-wetted surfaces in process equipment, commercial, and industrial applications. Summit uses a wetting agent, corrosion inhibitors and degreasing compounds to remove buildup from a variety of materials.

This water based descaler has a pleasant citrus-lime fragrance that masks odors normally associated with dissolving water scale and corrosion. Sublime descaler is low-foaming and quickly releases the carbon dioxide (CO2) gas generated by the reaction of lime scale with Sublime.

Sublime by Summit is non-toxic, non-corrosive, non-flammable and non-hazardous when used as directed. The ingredients in this product are not listed as hazardous waste when spent. USDA has approved this descaler as acceptable for use as an acid cleaner in all departments of establishment operating under the federal meat, poultry, shell egg grading and egg products inspection program. Sublime also meets all requirements by the U.S. Department of Transportation for shipment without hazardous warning.

Several advantages Sublime offers over other descalers are non-flammable, pleasant odor, no pre-mixing required, does not separate, low foaming and free rinsing.

The U.S.Department of the Navy has approved this product for use in removing hard fouling from the seawater side of heat exchangers on non-nuclear surface ships. Many of the benefits to the marine industry include its ability to dissolve shell fish (which is a growing problem in the marine industry), pumps, radiators, buoys, condensers, boilers, water pumps and more.

Sublime descaler comes in a pale yellow color that changes to a deep bluish-purple when it is spent. The advantages to this color change are:

• Know when the solution is spent and should be discarded
• Don’t spend time circulating a spent solution
• The color change occurs at a pH of 5.8 to 6.0 which is well within the safe disposal range of most of the current governmental waste regulations.
• If the equipment is clean and Sublime® has not changed color, you can save it and use it again.

Sublime is especially designed to safely remove lime deposits or water scale from:

• Power plant boilers and piping systems.
• Equipment in refinerires, utility companies, paper milles, chemical plants, foundries, rubber plants and other industries
• Food processing plants, meat packaging plants and breweries

This descaler is not recommended for use on aluminum, certain aluminum alloys, zing or galvanized steel, and alloys of magnesium. We recommend testing a small sample of material prior to use.
