The 32194029 ring and gasket kit from Ingersoll Rand includes a complete set of piston rings, a crankshaft seal, and all necessary gaskets that should be replaced when breaking the unit down to replace the rings. Although most commonly used on the 7100 reciprocating pump, this kit was also used on the older 71T2 model.

If you notice that your compressor is slow to build pressure or you see an excess amount of oil being sent downstream, typically the rings on the inside of the 7100 piston compressor pump would need to be replaced. An instruction sheet is included with the purchase of this kit showing the proper order of how the rings should be installed. It is typically recommended to have a factory trained technician replace the rings.

Ring sets and gaskets are included for both the 1^st stage low pressure and 2^nd stage high pressure sides of the pump. Note that this kit does not include any valves. If your compressor does not build air pressure or is only building to 40-50psi, the valve/gasket kit may be needed instead.
