This Ingersoll Rand separator element should be changed every 4,000 hours or once per year, whichever occurs first. The separator filter removes oil from the airstream before the air is sent downstream. Proactively changing the separator element will reduce the pressure drop across the sump tank, increasing your energy efficiency and preventing oil from getting into your air dryer or production equipment. When changing the separator element, it is also recommended to change the compressor oil, oil filter, and air filter element.

This separator element was widely used on many of the Ingersoll Rand air compressors manufactured in the late 1990’s. EP30SE, EP40SE, and EP50SE were the most common models, however we would recommend contacting us to ensure this separator fits your rotary screw compressor.

The original part number for this separator element was 39831888, however this part is no longer available and supersedes to 54595442.
