This oil filter element will fit many of the Ingersoll Rand EP-SE series air compressors, most commonly the EP15-SE thru EP40-SE. Although the EP series was the most common, there are several HP, XP, and HXP models that this filter will work with. Most of these air compressors were manufactured in the mid to late 1990’s.

Ingersoll Rand recommends changing the oil filter element every 2,000 hours or once per year. When changing the oil filter, you will also want to change the 39588470 air filter element. (link and relate).

The oil filter removes particles and debris from the compressor oil before being sent back into the compression process. Changing the oil filter element will prolong the life of your compressor by ensuring clean oil is sent to the airend and oil cooler.

This is an OEM part manufactured by Ingersoll Rand. Most coolant filters sold online are aftermarket filters and are not rated to the same filtration specifications as OEM.
