47733923001 is a 5hp motor that is most commonly used with the Ingersoll Rand SS5L5 and the 2340L5-1 piston compressors. This is an OEM motor.

This motor is compressor duty rated. This uses pre-lubricated ball bearings and is thermally protected with a manual overload reset.

The part number for this motor has changed over the years. The old parts numbers were 47669474001, 23220064, 24469652, and 23378805. Part # 23378805 was the most common motor that was used for years and may be shown in your parts/operators manual. Regardless of the part number displayed in your manual, this is a direct replacement motor and no changes would be required during installation.

47733923001 does not come with a pulley. You will need to remove the pulley from your old motor and install on this motor.

Note- IR used several different motor manufacturers over the years. Your old motor may have been a US General, Century or another brand. The new version is WEG but the specifications and mounting will be the same as a previous SS5 motor.
