Yes, really, there is not a state sales tax in The State of Oregon. There are no county, city or municipal sales taxes either.
We pay lots of other taxes though :-(

There are only 5 states in our great 50 United States, that do not charge sales tax!

*We are now doing business in the State of Washington so will be collecting sales tax for orders shipped to Washington State.

Good Question...
There are a couple scenarios we are aware of;

Some merchants build the sales tax into the price and say "No Sales Tax!" when in fact they are collecting and paying the sales tax.

States that collect sales tax require that items purchased by citizens of that state and shipped to and/or received in that state incur said states sales tax. Most states that collect a sales tax are not required to collect a sales tax from citizens of other states, due to current federal law, when purchased via The Internet. This means that as long as no citizen of that state is purchasing from their state and the item is not shipping to or otherwise being received in their state then there is no sales tax collected.
